We are confronted with another confluence of crises with the COVID crisis and now the racism crisis, the chaos on the streets. There's no more important time than now to turn to the Lord. Would you please pray with me over the preaching of God's word? Heavenly Father, I pray that you bless our time and the Holy Scriptures. Lord, I pray with the psalmist in Psalm 44. I pray awake, O Lord. Why are you asleep, O Lord? Rouse yourself. Why have you forgotten us? How much longer will you turn your face from us? How much longer will you forget our affliction and calamity? Lord, bless our time, the holy word. I pray, Lord, take this word and comfort us. Comfort those of us who are grieving. Comfort those of us who are fearing. Lord, send us peace in our hearts to make us agents of peace in the world, agents of reconciliation to help reconcile our neighbors w
