You know when you talk to a film major or teacher and they tell you that you should watch old cinema. Not 70's cinema, but like old 40's and 50's cinema because it's amazing and there's an insane amount to learn from it but you blow him off cause CGI is cool. Yeah, fuck you. old Cinema's amazing and Rashomon is proof of that. Kurosawa's classic is a brilliant character study and social examination of what is "Truth". It's timeless for a reason.
