Essenes represent religious elitism, cutting themselves off from society. 4. Zealots represent religious extremism, willing to break the law to advance their agenda. 5. Nazarenes (aka disciples of Christ) represent the Way of true relationship with God, guided by the law of the Spirit of life. 6.
