Fr Andrew: "The clearest interpretation of the parable of the vineyard in today's Gospel is provided in today's first reading and responsorial psalm. The vineyard of the Lord is the House of Israel. In other words, the narrative of a landowner preparing a vineyard and leasing it to tenants can be interpreted as God forming the People of Israel and blessing them with extraordinary gifts.
