Republican Congressman Doug LaMalfa has passed away at the age of 65. LaMalfa died last night after suffering a medical emergency and being rushed to the hospital. He represented a stretch of rural California in the northeastern part of the state, which just had its Congressional lines redrawn after voters approved Prop 50.
