Hey kids-and welcome to December! I don’t know about you but I’m very excited to flip that page on my calendar (yeah, I’m kickin’ it old-school with an actual paper calendar hanging on my wall). We've arrived at that magical time of year when smiles seem easier, folks seem friendlier, and when gee whiz it’s okay to let loose your inner child. This week on Apt 613 LIVE we’re highlighting two very cool events taking place this weekend: Fryquency is celebrating its one-year anniversary over at Mugshots this Saturday November 6th. They’re the folks behind a regular series of events that shed a well-deserved (and much needed) spotlight on otherwise underexposed experimental and alternative Canadian music. I sat down for a chat with co-organizer Rachel Wheldon to talk about what we can expect to hear and see at this weekend’s celebration. We also sample a little somethin’ somethin’ from Tale of a Town.
