Public school board trustees for the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board have voted to build a community hub and elementary school on the Sir John A MacDonald lands. Sir John A is expected to close in June 2019. Students from Hess and Strathcona will attend a new JK to Grade 8 School on the site, which will now allow for green space and sports fields.
