The Gayatri Mantra, “Om Bhur Bhuvah Swah,” is one of the most sacred mantras chanted by new yoga teacher during a saturday evening satsang at Yoga Vidya www.yoga-vidya.de in Bad Meinberg, Germany. It is a Vedic mantra and is said to contain the essence of the Vedas. The Gayatri Mantra is addressed to Savitri. Savitri is the radiant one, the luminous one.
