Betty-Ann Pilgrim completed her Registered Nurse Training in Trinidad, in the mid-eighties. She then migrated to the United Kingdom, for some 20 years where she pursued Midwifery, Family Planning, Haemoglobinopathies and a Master of Science Degree in Social Anthropology of Children and Child Development. Betty-Ann returned home in 2008 and has held various posts since her return including-: Chief Nursing Officer / or National Administrator of Nursing Services for the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago Member of the Board of the Nursing Council of Trinidad & Tobago Nurse Manager/ Matron – San Fernando General & Teaching Hospital, Area Hospital Point Fortin Director of Nursing / Matron – Southern Medical Hospital Lecturer/ Clinical instructor at the University of the Southern Caribbean. In her more recent projects, Betty-Ann co-authored the book “Waiting in the Pit”,  a compilation of inspirational stories by visionary author Hillette Virgo.
