Charlene is a rare gem, a unique artist who wears her heart and soul on her sleeve. An Alumni of San Francisco State University where she graduated with honors with a dual BA in Theartre Arts and Speech Communication. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, she started working in Hollywood, in film, theatre, modeling and dance, and even appeared in such films as Poetic Justice, So I Married An Axe Murder and Sister Act: 2.   She is a poet and a spoken word artist. In 2009 she won The Third Annual Seoul Poetry Slam in South Korea. In Hollywood, CA, She stared in her own one woman theatrical production “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”  The show was written by Jones, and commissioned by HBO. She won critical acclaim performing spoken word poetry and dance as the opening act for the L.A. revival of Amiri Baraka’s awarding play, Dutchman.
