Today in James, we see this well known, and important command.  Pray!  The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.  Or as I grew up hearing it, the prayer of the righteous availeth much.  As a child is unafraid to bring their requests to their loving parents, so should we be unafraid to bring our concerns to God boldly.  Our prayers matter.
