His early exposure and influences came from the dark and hard Techno/Minimal sounds which dominate Detroit’s underground music scene, and it quickly became his preferred sound early on. Those roots in the Techno/Minimal style tend to find a special place in his performances and recordings, and Ryan’s passion for that style has opened doors for him and his burgeoning DJ career, leading to opportunities to open for some of the legends in Detroit Techno, including Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Stacey Pullen.
