This episode talks about the Japanese tradition Setsubun. Setsubun is the day before risshun, the first day of spring in the old calendar. According to the new calendar, setsubun falls on February 3rd or 4th. It is Japanese tradition to scatter roasted beans on this day to chase way evils and troubles. People toss beans around inside and outside their houses chanting, “Demons out, good luck in!” Tradition holds that you will be healthy for the rest of the year if you eat the same number of beans as your age. On setsubun, shrines host bean-scattering events, archery demonstrations, and other ceremonies to drive away evil. In contrast, there are some areas in Japan that have shrines dedicated to a demon god, or that have legends of demons helping humans. In these areas, people may scatter their beans chanting, “In with demons!” The tradition of tossing beans on setsubun is a popular form of the ceremony of tsuina, a court ceremony that began in the Heian era (794-1185 CE). Cee Bee also talked about the book Her

  • Season 3 Episode 8, Anhk or key of life

    02/02/2022 Duración: 05min

This episode is about the Anhk. Cee Bee also talks about deuces. Today is February 2nd, 2022. Month is 2, day is 2, the year is a 2. We in the Nubian community use the word deuce to express the number two. It is Nubian month in the United States of America.  The Anhk or key of life or the key of the Nile is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for “life” and, by extension, as a symbol of life itself.  The Anhk is also representative of eternal life in Ancient Egypt. Additionally, Anhk were traditionally placed in sarcophagi to ensure life after death. The ankh appears frequently in Egyptian tomb paintings and other art, often representing deities of the afterlife. An ankh was often carried by Egyptians as an amulet, either alone, or in connection with two other hieroglyphs that mean "strength" and "health." Mirrors were often made in the shape of an ankh.

  • Season 3 Episode 4, Ed Brown says, be a finisher.

    28/01/2022 Duración: 06min

Peace Family, in this episode, I am discussing words of wisdom from my big brother Ed Brown. He gave me a strong and powerful message, “Be a finisher.” In our daily lives, we often make / set goals but we do not have a follow up plan. What I mean is that we talk in general about what we want to do but fail to write it down.  We have free flying goals and dreams which does not have any weight or power to be be complete. If we think of our goals and dreams as a work project. We will write it down, have a start date, a completion date, make daily or weekly entries for as the progress of your goals and dreams. And most of all take notes and work towards your goals and dreams.  Remember, as I mentioned in episode three, “One step at a time”. Keep moving / pushing towards your goals and dreams. Always believe in yourself and do not stop until you have reached your dreams. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my podcast.

  • Season 3 Episode 3, “One Step at a Time”

If it’s an one month, three month, one year, or three year… you get the point. Just remember to take one step at a time to achieve your goals and dreams.  The Boss… it pays to be the boss. My cousin Garrie Crawford aka. “The Boss”. Leeds, Alabama’s best barber and his barbershop. If you are in Leeds, Alabama stop by his shop and get a cut. Ed Brown gave me advice about being a Finisher. In life we need to be able to finish our goals that we set. Follow our dreams and never give up. Thank you for tuning in, see you tomorrow family.

    27/01/2022 Duración: 14min

This episode is about life and time. Two years ago, we lost two greats. The Rock (Actor / WWE wrestler) his father and NBA Hall of Fame and All - Star Kobe Bryant, his daughter, her teammates and some of their parents to a tragic helicopter crash on January 26th, 2020.  The book that I mentioned and read from is a book of Esoteric Sciences. The Hermetica, The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy. Excerpt, chapter IV, The Circle of Time. 'Everything in the Cosmos is constantly changing. Things are born, pass away and come into existence again, like old plants dying each winter to return as new shoots each spring. All these changes, however, are governed by unchanging natural laws. In this way, therefore, it could also be said that the Cosmos is essentially changeless.' "In a sense, the Cosmos is changeless, because its motions are determined by unalterable laws which cause it to revolve eternally without beginning and end. Its parts manifest, disappear and are created anew, again a

Whether good or bad situations that happens in our lives we must continue to move forward and be positive in today’s society. Keep on, Keeping on is a famous idiom in the black culture. We as people must know and understand our value to society. We know the value of a happy meal, pack of cigarettes, a gallon of milk, and even the value of a smart phone. Yet we do not know our own value. We must open our eyes and understand our value to society. Keep on, Keeping on and learn your value. Understand what you are worth.
