The Pestilences of Following Jesus Pt. 3 - Re:Hope Paisley by Re:Hope Church

Here at Re:Hope Church, we're on a mission to be all in for Jesus. We are keen for every single person to experience that reawakening moment with Jesus that sets their life on a new pathway full of hope, joy, peace and His incredible love. But sometimes we can experience some hinderances along the way that can deny us being all in for Jesus. Pastor Buchan takes the time to explore what these hinderances, aka pestilences, that can get in the way, when pursuing all of Jesus in our lives. This week we chat about division among believers.

Part 2 of A BIBLE OVERVIEW OF CLOUDS. Building on the previous message, Re:Hope Southside’s lead pastor, Crooksy, highlights the Bible’s use of clouds to signify GOD’S GUIDANCE. Drawing from Exodus 13 and Mark 9, we focused on how God guides and how we can respond to His guidance. Crooksy left us with a challenge to spent time reviewing how God has been guiding us via speaking to us through His word.

Laura begins a mini series on what we treasure with a call to treasure the gospel of Jesus. She considers how to treasure the gospel is to let all of it transform all of us, while we cherish how it is glorious specific, all about what God has done for us, and able to bring us into an amazing new reality of 'undeserved privilege' - full access to the God who made us.

Part 1 in Re:Hope Southside’s summer series A BIBLE OVERVIEW OF CLOUDS. In this message, Crooksy, lays the foundations for the series by outlining how the Bible uses clouds to display God character and His activity. Focusing on Leviticus 9.23-24, we see clouds displaying God’s presence.

Guest speaker, Shaun Wilcock, reminds us of the value that we have in the Holy Spirit and challenges us to intentionally read the Bible and pray, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal something new to us.

In the final sermon of this series through Mark, Brian challenges us to reject our fears, and tell people that Jesus is alive!

In part 12 of this series, we are reading about Jesus on trial and how people responded during that time whether that be rejecting Jesus, mocking Him or believing Jesus said who he said he was. Brian challenges us to look at how we respond to Jesus and adjust accordingly.

In part 11 of this series through Mark, Brian talks about the gospel in light of people who have walked away and are wondering about returning to Jesus. He encourages us to stay alert to spiritual battles and to embrace grace that only comes from Jesus.

In part 10 of the Mark series, Brian talks about walking the good path of painful obedience. He challenges us to consider if Jesus is asking you to take a path you don’t want to take and to trust him and say yes.

In part 9 of this series through Mark, Brian talks about offerings. The purpose of offerings, the lies we might hear about them and why we should give.

In part 8 of the Mark series, Brian talks all about prayer. He shares 9 things that the Bible says that majorly hinder our prayers and encourages us to look at our prayer requests and believe God will answer them, removing any doubt in our hearts.

In part 7 of this series, Brian discusses rejection and challenges us to seek prayer, reset our hearts and reject the fear of rejection forever.

Guest speaker, Jennifer O'Brien, author of the book, The Power of Hope and Joy, talks to us about just that. The power of hope and joy that we can find in Jesus even in the midst of hard times. www.jenniferobrien.co.uk

Pentecost Sunday 2024 by Re:Hope Church

This week Lead Pastor Buchan focused on the Kingdom of God and how that is relevant today. We explored part 5 of our ongoing series of Mark. As we look at the Kingdom of God we explored the difference between the gospel and the kingdom of God, recognising the message that Jesus taught us about the Kingdom of God, is not only relevant in 2024, but needed for every Christian pursuing Jesus.

This week Crooksy, lead pastor of Re:Hope Southside, brings us part 5 of our series on Mark. He invite us to examine at the parables in Mark 4 bringing guidance on how to read and interpret these parables to find the principles of the Kingdom of God they contain.

This week our Lead Pastor Laura brought us part 5 of our Mark series, all about the Kingdom of God. Jesus’ parables encourage us to be faith-filled ‘farmers’ who, in love, and confidence in the word of God, scatter it widely and generously in our generation. Even in brokenness — a harvest will come!
