“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it” (1 Corinthians 9:24). I think most of us have heard the story of the tortoise and the hare, right?

We all need the Lord in our lives in order to overcome some of the things we need to overcome. It may be different from person to person, but in order to grow and to become better, we have to start from where we are by admitting our short-comings and doing the hard work in getting better. That's it. It's not anything we can't handle. We can all make it. God gives us the strength to do so. Psalm 28:7 speaks to that.

What do you do during the "waiting" period? The waiting period is when God promises you something and it seems as though nothing is happening. Stay encouraged. Galatians 6:9 says, “let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Some doors open and some doors close. And we should be thankful. God will open the doors we need to walk through and close the ones that will be disastrous for us. Revelation 3:8 speaks to that.

One of the many awesome things of God is that He gives us waves of His blessings. He's not a respecter of persons, which means He will use anyone He chooses to do His will. Just when it seems we're down to nothing, God is always up to something. He is always with us during the highs and lows of life. That's why we can never give up. It doesn't matter our past or present circumstances, God is in control. Remember the Samaritan Woman in John 4?

God is with you. And we We know certain things in life are challenging, He’s still there for us. So we must stay centered on keeping Christ first in our life no matter how difficult things get. At some point in everybody's life, struggle will come and no one is immune. Life will happen to every soul on this earth. That's a fact and since that's the case, then why not have a companion by our side every second of the day? Doesn't it make sense to do that? See Ephesians 2:10.

“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God" (Isaiah 40:1). Did you know, God "gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak" (Isaiah 40:29)? Oh yes, and if he does that, that means there is no reason to be down and to stay down. Lift your head up.

Look towards the sky, because God lives there and there’s light there. God helps us see, so always look up, especially if you’re down. And remember, joy comes in the morning. 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast all our cares/anxieties on the Lord because He cares about us.

Unbreakable -- that's a great word for the people who are unstoppable, unmovable, and unshakable. They are the people who refuse to be broken, because of life's struggles, pain, challenges, hurt, setbacks, sorrow. Being unbreakable is another term for being faithful that God is not going to leave us in a state of despair, despondency, or a place of helplessness. See Mark 5:25-34

According to Google, energy means: "the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity." Did you know God gives us the energy we need to do what He called us to do? He hasn't forgotten we can't do everything on our own and we certainly shouldn't forget that either. We need God. And He loves helping us, because He loves us so. His spirit is always alive. He never sleeps. Isn't that a blessing? He's there 24/7. Philippians 1:6 speaks to that.

Do you know carrying out the mission and assignment the Lord has for us, is like flying an airplane? It takes precision, focus, and strength. Have you ever been so afraid of something, someone, or some place, that it has virtually taken over your life? Have you ever stopped your flow, because of a certain fear that has held you back for as long as you can remember? Are you afraid of the unknown? If so, I feel you. I have been there and done that. And I'm here to tell you, that that was then and this is now. It's time to move on from whatever fear has been holding you back. Proverbs 16:7 is proof.

What is it that lives inside of you? Are you writing it down? Are you making it plain to the Lord God that you are ready, willing, and able to do all you can to make it happen in order to encourage and help others? If God placed it in you, He will ensure it happens through you. Habakkuk 2:2/3
