"For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Corinthians 12:10). Whoa, another heavy-duty verse, right. It's a verse that reminds us that when we are strong in the Lord, even if we are lacking in the natural, we can withstand the things that come for us. That's right. We can stand strong in the face of adversity, because we know that God is God. So, no matter what is coming at you, you can make it through. Do you know you were born on purpose for a purpose? Oh yes and do you know because of that, better days are coming for you? God is aware of what He is still going to have you to do in this life. And He is aware that no weapon that is plotted, connived, schemed, or conspired against you, will ever harm you. Isaiah 61:2-4 says God will comfort you and provide for you. And He will bestow on you, a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. What do you do during the "waiting" period? The waiting period is when God promises you something and it seems as though nothing is happening. You're grinding day in and day out. You're focused like never before. You're staying around all the positive things, people, and places. Yet it seems you're just going through the motions and no movement is happening. Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Are you a heavy-weight for God? If so, that means you are unqualified to do what you're doing. Why? Because 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 says, "But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God." Did you know Jesus was the most awesome man who walked the earth? That may be a bold statement to some, yet it’s true. When you think about the fact that He was honorable, perfect, kind, loving, righteous, and the list goes on, it really makes sense, doesn't it? So, it’s up to all of us to pursue the perfection and love of Jesus and to get all of the things He has for us in order to help others. Proverbs 21:21 says, whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor. Where there is no prophetic vision or revelation, people perish; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction (Proverbs 29:18). Do you know what the difference is between successful people and unsuccessful people is? Yes I believe you’re going to make it and I believe you’re going to do what it is the Lord wants you to do. Yes, I’m putting that into the atmosphere, because words are powerful, right? Do you know there is no need to despise humble beginnings? No, because when we seek wisdom and continue to follow the Lord, guess what? Matthew 20:16 says, the last will be first, and the first will be last. That's just the way it's going to happen. Your time is coming and you're going to make it. Do you believe that? Do you believe what Isaiah 43:2 says about you? Yes, that verse applies to you. It sure does. It says, "...when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." As that verse says, when you walk through the fire. That means fire will come, yet guess what? Isn’t it great to be covered by God’s grace? We all make mistakes, right? We all fall short. The only perfect one is Christ, so, we have to stop that thinking that we can't make mistakes, that we’re perfect, that we are unforgivable, and that we can't we mess up. Listen, we have to stop being so hard on ourselves, especially when God isn't hard on us. I know how it is to live in regret over mistakes and bad decisions. So, I'm coming to you to tell you, just don't go there. I wasted so many years going there -- being there -- not moving in certain areas of my life, because I beat myself up about certain things. Don’t waste a minute of that. Ephesians 2:8-10 is proof of His amazing grace. Isn't it easy to sometimes think that if things don't work out for us, that God has rejected us? Isn't easy to feel like if man has turned his back on us, God is ok with it? From time to time I'm sure many of us have thought that way, but guess what? The devil is a liar. God has not rejected you, so no matter what has stopped flowing, no matter who has closed the door, no matter where things didn't work out, and no matter the opportunities that were lost, the Lord has not rejected you. He loves you too much to cast you aside and He knows you still love Him. So continue living for Him and watch what He does to redeem those He loves and who still walk according to His purpose. He has not rejected you, He has accepted you. Yes, Psalm 94:14/15 says, "For the LORD will not forsake His people; He will never abandon His heritage, for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it." "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24). Do you know God will enable us to do great feats and accomplish amazing things? When we do that, we will have no choice but to know it was Him. Do you believe it? Do you know God sees you and He hasn’t forgotten about you? It’s true. Have you ever heard, the teacher is always quiet during the test? Well, guess what? God might be silent right now, but He knows what He’s going to do and He’s waiting for the right time to move. His timing is impeccable. So stay faithful, God is present. Romans 8:28 says, "and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Do you know God accepts you for you? I'm not saying He created you or I to live any way we choose. No, I mean God made each of us to walk in His ways -- His light. And when we do that, we are acceptable and pleasing to Him. So we have to choose wisely. He created us to be true to His creation, which was made new in us when we decided to give our lives to Him through salvation. So, do you know your walk with Him isn't in vain, but it means something and God sees you? 2 Corinthians 5 talks that. "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well" (Psalm 139:14). You know what that means? That means that you are beautiful. Yes, some synonyms for beautiful are wonderful, pleasing, marvelous, splendid, graceful, gorgeous, and exquisite. How awesome is that? It's awesome. Look at how majestic the Lord is, having made someone like you. So, don't let anybody convince you that you are not beautiful and that you are not wonderful in the eyes of the Lord, because you are. I think by now, most of us have heard the phrase, "just do it." Well, how many of us have overthought things so much that we ended up not doing it? I have. I'm just getting to the point in my life where I'm thinking new-level thinking and doing new-level things. And if creative and innovative things in life have to be done, why can't it be you to do them? Why can't it be I? It can be us, because anything is possible for those who believe, Jesus said in Mark 9:23. Do you believe you can do what you were called to do? It starts with belief. Today I want to encourage you again, to keep moving forward and to keep going forward. The Lord God is with you and although we all have probably had that feeling when we wanted to give up, let me tell you that God has much in store for those who run their race. Oh yes, as long as we know that the race isn't for the swift, it's for the diligent, we will make it. Believe it. Joshua 1:6-9 is proof. That's what Abram, later called Abraham had to do in Genesis 12:1 -- seeking higher, going higher and and I can only imagine how that must have felt for him. Yet, anything worthwhile won't come easy. It's going to cost each one of us something. Are you willing to give what it takes to go higher? It's a question all of us have to answer at some point. The Lord told Abram: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you" (Genesis 12:2/3).
